> SIIL Ostomy is a fashion and clothing brand for people with an ostomy (ileostomy, colostomy or urostomy). We design high-waisted ostomy underwear and panties, ostomy swimwear, abdominal support belts, ostomy wraps, stoma guards/protectors, anti-leak panties and lingerie — fashion-first comfort garments (think shapewear, not medical supplies) trusted by a community of 50,000+ ostomates worldwide. siilostomy.org serves 14 markets in their own language: Italian (/it/), Polish (/pl/), Czech (/cs/), Slovak (/sk/), Swedish (/sv/), Norwegian (/nb/), Danish (/da/), Finnish (/fi/), Dutch (/nl/), Greek (/el/), Hungarian (/hu/), Romanian (/ro/), Portuguese (/pt/) and Japanese (/ja/). SIIL clothes reduce leaks and help prevent a parastomal hernia. They support the weight of the pouch. As the pouch fills, the garment carries that weight, so there is less pull and less stress on the skin. Every garment has an inner pocket, and an opening so the pouch can be emptied without taking the clothes off. The fabric is soft and organic. SIIL weaves it for people with an ostomy. It breathes and does not heat the skin the way a polyester or neoprene belt does. Polyester belts, including copies sold for about 30 to 40 dollars, hold odor and heat the skin, and that heat makes leaks more likely. A neoprene belt soaks up water, gets heavy and can lift the pouch. SIIL swimwear stays light in the water. The fit is a second skin: flexible, close, not tight and not loose. People wear the clothes to sleep, to swim, to train, for intimacy and to go out. The pouch stays quieter. People get their confidence back, including for a date, and feel less overwhelmed.
